"I believe the best stories don't give us answers.
They leave us asking better questions."

My Story
I've always been drawn to questions that don't have easy answers.
Given began with a simple observation.
We no longer have that forty- or fifty-year kind of love our grandparents had. Relationships have become more fragile, and many of us are searching for the perfect person while overlooking one undeniable truth: we're all imperfect people.
Then my What-if-ologist mind went to work.
Will perfection make us happier?
Are we capable of choosing what's best for us?
What if someone else, or something else, could choose for us?
Given was born from those questions.
It isn't a story about technology.
It's a story about love, choice, commitment, and what it truly means to be human.
My hope isn't to tell you what to believe.
It's to leave you asking better questions.
Let's Keep Imagining.

Why I Write
Sometimes a social issue settles so deeply in my spirit that the only way I know how to process it is through fiction.
The characters come alive. Their struggles become my struggles. Through their journeys, I'm able to ask questions that don't always have simple answers.
My spirit won't let go until I've told the story.
"I write every book as if it could be my last. I want to leave everything on the page."

If one conversation

If one story

If one reader
encourages one marriage...
changes one perspective...
closes the book asking better questions than when they opened it...

Every word was worth writing.
Let's Keep Imagining.

Bring Terri to Your Audience
The best conversations don't end when the book does.
Whether it's a book club, podcast, panel discussion, church group, literary festival, or virtual gathering, I love intimate conversations where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing perspectives, and exploring the "what ifs" together.
